Why Should I have my quilt appraised?

If a monetary settlement is important to your loss, an appraisal for your insurance company is necessary. This is a real asset for you and your agent to help speed up your recovery process. It also gives you a fair and deserved settlement.

More specifically, reasons for having your quilt appraised include:

  • When your quilt is stolen or lost.
  • When your quilt has received damage form a fire, flood or inadequate storage.
  • The appraised value is helpful to other family members for appreciating your work by knowing the appraisal came from a professional source.
  • When mailing your textile, the appraisal gives added guarantee of proof of value.
  • When entering your textile in competition the appraisal is usually required, if over a certain value.

Why do I need a Certified Appraiser?
